Q: What is INFINI?
A: INFINI is a new dimension in radiofrequency (RF) technology used to address elasticity, wrinkles, and acne scars. It uses a 3-dimensional approach to delivering RF energy to create tissue illumination with dramatic results.
Q: How does INFINI work?
A: INFINI combines High-Intensity Focused Radiofrequency technology with fractional needling. As opposed to other radiofrequency platforms that treat the skin from the outside in, INFINI uses flow needle technology to deliver RF to the dermis. By delivering heat energy from RF to the dermis, INFINI encourages collagen growth and tissue tightening precise depths in the skin. The result is a little to no downtime, a nearly painless procedure that can greatly improve wrinkling, scars, and skin laxity.
Q: What skin conditions can be treated with INFINI?
A: Skin laxity and wrinkles are commonly treated with INFINI to achieve tissue tightening, collagen formation, revolumization of tissues, and improvement of skin texture. Traumatic scars and acne scars respond well to a series of INFINI treatments.
Q: Is INFINI safe in darker skin types or tanned skin?
A: Unlike many laser and light-based technologies, INFINI’ can safely be used by all ethnicities, all year round, even tanned skin. Because the RF energy from the device bypasses the skin’s surface and is delivered directly to the collagen-producing dermis, it avoids the top layer of the skin, resulting in post-treatment pigmentation being greatly reduced.
Q: How many treatments are typical with INFINI?
A: INFINI treatments are typically three sessions spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. This can vary based on the condition and goal of the person getting treatment. To maintain results, we recommend 1-2 a year to maintain collagen production.
Q: Does INFINI hurt?
A: To help ease any discomfort, we recommend topical numbing prior to the procedure. According to a large study of almost 500 patients on three continents, INFINI patients reported discomfort as mild in nature and similar to a mild sting or snap.
Q: Are there any side effects and/or downtime?
A: Side effects following INFINI are mild in nature, making this a minimal downtime treatment. For those with very vascular skin, there may be mild pinpoint bleeding. Typically the skin is mildly red and can be swollen for approximately 24 hours. The skin will then fade to pink without swelling, then be slightly rough like sandpaper for 2-3 days. People usually resume their normal lifestyle next day.
