FACE is proud to be the first in the US to introduce CryoCorrect Precision™. FDA-Cleared CryoCorrect Precision™ effectively, safely, and quickly removes cosmetic spots and skin tags. This technology works by freezing tissue, dispensing a precise flow of carbon dioxide to cosmetic lesions, such as dark spots, age spots, and skin tags, without harming the surrounding skin.
Q: How does CryoCorrect™ Precision work?
A: Carbon dioxide (CO2) can achieve effective cryo-necrosis at a mild temperature of -108 ̊F (-78 ̊C) to safely, gently, and effectively freeze away brown spots and skin tags.
Q: How is CryoCorrect™ Precision different than traditional Liquid Nitrogen?
A: The rapid freezing of benign human tissue produces cryo-necrosis between -4 ̊F (-20 ̊C) and -22 ̊F (-30 ̊C). Traditional liquid nitrogen cryosurgery freezes tissue at a temperature at -321 ̊F (-196 ̊C), but has greater potential to destroy healthy surrounding cells, causing adverse side effects. In contrast, carbon dioxide (CO2) can achieve effective cryo-necrosis at a milder temperature of -108 ̊F (-78 ̊C). This allows for a less-aggressive tissue freeze that ruptures the cell membrane and destroys the cell, but is less likely to damage the surrounding tissue.
Q: What conditions does CryoCorrect™ Precision treat?
A: CO2 can safely and effectively treat localized benign skin lesions, including skin tags, mild actinic keratoses, and other cosmetic dark spots such as age spots or sun spots.
Q: Is CryoCorrect™ Precision safe?
A: A precise flow of carbon dioxide targets cosmetic skin lesions on the face, hands, and body without harming surrounding skin.
Q: What are the benefits to CryoCorrect™ Precision?
A: It is an affordable, non-invasive treatment with little-to-no downtime and minimal discomfort. It can also get spots that are deeper than a traditional IPL broad-band light treatment. Also the versatility to get brown spots anywhere on the body, as well as skin tags, and do it in seconds as an add-on treatment to any facial or laser, makes this a go to device for any savvy beauty client.
Q: How long does the CryoCorrect™ Precision treatment take?
A: Each spot we treat takes only 5-10 seconds. Most people only get 1-10 spots in a session.
Q: What are the side effects to the CryoCorrect™ Precision treatment?
A: Your spots will look darker for about 7-10 days and then flake off. The body can take a little longer to flake. To prevent scarring it is important you don’t force the flakes off your skin.
Q: Does the CryoCorrect™ Precision treatment hurt?
A: There is no to minimal discomfort for the treatment. People love to add it on to other treatments like a facials and laser treatments.
Q: What areas can be treated with CryoCorrect™ Precision?
A: All areas can easily be treated including the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, hands, and back. The CryoCorrect™ Precision device can be used as a stand-alone treatment, integrated with pigmentation or aesthetic treatments, or added to body treatment protocols to quickly and completely remove any remaining spots.
Q: What skin types can be treated with CryoCorrect™ Precision?
A: The CryoCorrect Treatment has been tested on Fitzpatrick Types I–III (lighter skin tones), and not recommended for types 4-6 (darker skin tones).
Q: How is CryoCorrect™ Precision different than IPL for removing brown spots?
A: IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and BBL (broad band light) treatments are very effective at removing large areas of superficial brown spots. They do not do actinic keratosis or skin tags. CryoCorrect™ Precision also can remove the more stubborn brown spots. Because IPL (we use Limelight extremely effectively) is so affordable, we use it all over, and then treat small areas on the face or body with CryoCorrect™ Precision.
Q: What results can I expect with the CryoCorrect™ Precision?
A: In a 6-week clinical study, 98% of patients showed improvement in dark spot intensity and 86% of patients showed improvement in dark spot size after 1 CryoCorrect Treatment. Sixty-six percent of subjects showed complete removal of a dark spot by week 6. In a 4-week study, 96% of patients saw complete removal of a skin tag after 1 CryoCorrect Treatment.
