Am I a Good Candidate for UPNEEQ®?
If you have drooping or sagging eyelids, UPNEEQ® may be beneficial for you. Candidates should understand that they will not see the kind of lift results that a surgical procedure would achieve. UPNEEQ® can interfere with certain medications, so be sure to discuss the current medications that you are taking during your consultation. People with uncontrolled high blood pressure should not use UPNEEQ®. It is safe to use for those with controlled blood pressure.
How Much Does UPNEEQ® Cost?
While UPNEEQ® does require a prescription, it is typically considered elective, and your insurance will usually not cover it. UPNEEQ® costs $200 for a 45 day supply. This price may vary, so ask during your visit.
What Results Will I See From UPNEEQ®?
Results from UPNEEQ® become visible 5 minutes to 2 hours after application and last for six to eight hours. Most people see about 1 mm of lift, which may sound small, but can make a noticeable difference. The upper eyelid will lift, revealing more of the eye, causing your eyes to look wider and brighter.
Are There Any Side Effects From UPNEEQ®?
UPNEEQ® is considered extremely safe, and very few side effects have been reported. Most patients notice an improvement in dry eyes and irritation and an overall soothing effect. In rare instances, patients may experience dry, irritated, or red eyes after using UPNEEQ®. If this occurs, patients should discontinue use. If your drooping upper eyelids continue to bother you, an upper eyelid lift procedure can give you long-lasting results.
