Stretch marks are a type of scarring on the skin that occurs when the skin is stretched beyond normal elasticity limits, causing tears within the dermis (middle layer of the skin). Stretch marks may fade over time, but if they don’t, stretch mark removal procedures can make them less noticeable.
If you are bothered by the appearance of stretch marks, you don’t have to live with them. At FACE Skincare Medical Wellness in Michigan, we offer our clients a variety of stretch mark removal treatments.
Salt Facial™: Salt Facial is a skin renewal therapy that rejuvenates and refreshes the skin. During treatment, the skin is exfoliated using all-natural sea salt, after which an ultrasound device is used to infuse antioxidants into the skin. Finally, a high intensity LED light is used to perform phototherapy which promotes collagen production and skin repair, making stretch marks less noticeable.
RF Microneedling: RF Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. During RF microneedling, micro-needles are used to deliver the RF energy into the deep dermal layer of the skin. This process stimulates the body’s repair process, which helps to break up the scar tissue that causes stretch marks to form.
Deep FX Fractional CO2 Laser: The Deep FX Fractional CO2 Laser has been a game-changer in the stretch mark removal process. The fractional laser uses advanced Ultrapulse™ technology to resurface the skin, and treat skin irregularities in the deeper layers. The Deep FX reduces stretch marks by repairing the dermal injury and stimulating new collagen to promote the growth of healthy tissue.
Limelight Skin Rejuvenation: Limelight is a versatile Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment that targets skin imperfections. The LimeLight system emits different wavelengths of light that selectively target the pigmented areas of the skin. These pigmented cells absorb the light and are quickly broken down. Limelight breaks up the cells that create the stretch marks, so the skin becomes clearer and brighter.
