Is Botox® Safe?
Botox® has been FDA approved for medical uses for decades and cosmetic use since 2002. Doctors use it to treat conditions like migraines, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and eyelid spasms. Although often called a neurotoxin, Botox® is not toxic to your facial nerves or muscles. Once Botox® has worn off, both the nerve and muscle will go back to functioning normally with no harm done.
What Results Will I See From Botox®?
While some people will see results in as little as 48 hours, most will see their full Botox® results within five to seven days. You will see lines and wrinkles in the treated areas become smoother and less visible as the muscles relax. We do not believe in “freezing” your face at FACE Skincare~Medical~Wellness, so your treated muscles will still move, and you will still look like yourself, just younger and more relaxed.
Is There Any Downtime After Botox®?
Some people have minor bruising or swelling after Botox® treatment. Avoid rubbing your face, especially in the days after treatment, to avoid spreading the Botox® away from the treatment site.
Am I a Good Candidate for Botox®?
If you have crow’s feet, forehead lines, or lines between your brows, you may be a good candidate for Botox®. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain neuromuscular conditions, Botox® may not be right for you.
