How Long Does it Take to Get Rid of Cellulite?

Many women and some men have cellulite. In fact, over 80% of women suffer from cellulite. The dimpled, uneven appearance can make you feel self-conscious and want to cover up. You can see improvements in your cellulite with non-invasive treatments that restore smoother skin.

What is Cellulite?

Underneath the skin, you have a network of collagen fibers. These give structure and support to the skin, but in the case of cellulite, they cause attachments between the skin and underlying tissue. This pulls the skin down into the characteristic dimples of cellulite. These fibers can also cause fat to bulge up between them, creating an uneven appearance. Heredity plays a strong role in whether you develop cellulite. Hormones also play a role since women are more likely to develop cellulite than men.

How Long Does it Take to Get Rid of Cellulite?

Non-invasive cellulite treatments may work by targeting the collagen fibers under the skin or stimulating new collagen production to tighten skin. Most of these methods require several treatment sessions, so you can expect a few weeks to a few months before seeing the complete results. These results often continue to improve even after you finish treatment. Many cellulite treatment methods will last for at least several months, and you can have follow-up treatments to maintain your results.

What Treatments are Available for Cellulite?

At FACE Skincare~Medical~Wellness, we offer several non-invasive treatments to help you get rid of cellulite. You can have smoother, more even skin on your buttocks, thighs, and other areas with one of our effective treatment methods

Emtone™

Emtone is the first FDA-cleared device to get all five causes of cellulite, from damaged collagen fibers, poor skin elasticity, enlarged fat chambers, poor blood flow, and metabolic waste accumulation. This treatment uses a combination of targeted pressure waves and radiofrequency (RF) energy. Both types of energy work together to release the fibrous bands causing dimpling. The RF energy also heats fat cells to a temperature that causes them to break down. As the body removes these fat cells, you see more even, smoother skin.

Morpheus8

Morpheus is known as the gold standard in RF micro-needling. The effective combination of RF (radio-frequency) energy and microneedling is a powerful weapon against cellulite. Microneedling with RF energy breaks up the fibrous bands, freeing the skin. This method also triggers collagen development, tightening and firming the area, for a whole body lift.

Is There Any Downtime With Cellulite Treatment?

Morpheus can have redness and swelling that last a day, with potential bruising as well. Emtone has redness post-treatment that lasts only a few hours.

Am I a Good Candidate for Cellulite Treatment?

If you want to get rid of cellulite, you are probably a good candidate for one of these non-invasive treatments. Most people qualify for several different treatment options.
