Light & Heat Create Radiant Complexions

Microphototherapy is light and heat-based therapy (LHE) that uses broad-spectrum light combined with infrared light to even out skin tone, create a skin that is younger, more even, smoother, and firmer, to giving it a healthy glow. Incorporated into a facial or on its own, this low-level energy-based treatment will give you results in a series of sessions. LHE is a non-invasive, non-abrasive treatment to refresh the skin’s appearance with no anesthesia and no downtime.

What is Microphototherapy?

Microphototherapy is a cutting-edge technology that uses the power of light and heat energy (LHE) to promote a natural healing response within the skin. Whether you want to reduce the appearance of fine lines, even skin tone, diminish sun spots or smooth the texture of your skin, Microphototherapy emits soothing pulses of heat and light that work beneath the surface of the skin, providing a young, healthy glow. This treatment not only promotes skin renewal at the cellular level, but the deeply penetrating flashes of heat and light also reinvigorate the skin and encourage collagen production. Microphototherapy is recommended as a treatment to brighten the skin and decrease redness as well as pore size. The treatment can also enhance the absorption of actives and serums during facial treatments.

Am I a Candidate?

You may be a candidate for microphototherapy if you wish to achieve any of the following results:

  • Soften fine lines
  • Even out skin tone
  • Help heal blemishes
  • Decrease pore size
  • Improve skin texture
  • Enhance absorption of actives and serums

Microphototherapy has earned FDA approval for the clearance of pigmented lesions, lightening age and sunspots. It lessens the effects of climate exposure as it homogenizes skin tone and gives the face a healthy, youthful-looking glow.

What is a Typical Treatment Like?

The treatment is pain-free and delivers results quickly. Infrared light penetrates deep into the lower dermal levels and sets off a mild dermal trauma to initiate a wound/heal response. The collagen found in these levels responds with new growth, returning firmness and elasticity to the skin.

What Results Will I See?*

Microphototherapy delivers fast, safe, and sure acne treatments. As a localized treatment modality, LHE clears mild to moderate acne without harsh systemic antibiotic treatments. In clinical studies, subjects noted significant improvement in their acne within the first 2 weeks – lesions cleared faster and outbreaks were milder.

It can also show great improvement in signs of aging. LHE Skin Tightening is pain-free and clinically proven to improve these effects. Skin appears firmer, smoother and younger as it loses its laxity and wrinkles fade, creating a natural lifting effect. Results are often visible as early as the 5th week and continue to improve with time.

Benefits may be seen after just one treatment, however for best results a series of 8 Microphototherapy sessions (two times a week for 4 weeks) is recommended.

Is There Any Downtime?*

No, there is no downtime associated with microphototherapy.

What is the Difference Between Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and LHE?

Both devices help to even out skin tone and stimulate collagen, however, LHE is low-level energy and requires multiple sessions, while IPL is high energy and is performed in the laser division, and thus requires only a few sessions. LHE advantages include being a lower price point, and more for milder cases of correction, and doesn’t have the social downtime associated with IPL.
