How Much Can a Thread Lift Cost?

If you don’t feel ready for a facelift but want to see your features lifted and firmer instantly, consider a thread lift. This procedure can lift sagging skin around the jaw, cheeks, and brows, giving you a more youthful appearance.

What is a Thread Lift?

Thread lifts work so well that they made our list of Top Ten for skin tightening treatments. We use threads made of polydioxanone (PDO), an absorbable material widely used in medical procedures. PDO threads work on the face or the body, letting you achieve the lifting and smoothing effects wherever you need them most.

How Does a Thread Lift Work?

The quality of the threads makes a difference in the quality of your results, so at FACE, we perform MINT™ PDO thread lifts. MINT™ (Minimally Invasive Non-Surgical Thread) is the only FDA dual cleared threads to be indicated for lifting, and smoothing the nasolabial folds. These thread lifts use tiny needles preloaded with PDO threads, to be inserted with ease. They are carefully placed under the skin, where the threads attach to the skin with tiny barbs. The PDO threads can be used to lift the skin, smoothing out lines and wrinkles, as well as lifting areas like the jaw and brows. The threads dissolve after a few months, but they stimulate collagen production that results in a firm, lifted skin even after the threads are gone

We also use NovaThreads™, PDO threads that we use as part of our FACE-exclusive Modern Lift™. These threads also come preloaded into syringes to allow for easy placement. They will provide immediate lift and last for four to six months before dissolving. During this time, they stimulate new collagen development, firming the skin and lifting soft tissues anywhere on the body.

How Much Can a Thread Lift Cost?

While costs vary widely based on your location, the skill and experience of your provider, and other factors, according to Healthline, the average thread lift cost is $2050. Your provider’s expertise makes all the difference during a thread lift since placing the threads and lifting the skin requires experience, skill, and artistry. Sugar threads (non-barbed) are generally less expensive and can cost $500 and up depending on how many are placed.

What is Recovery Like From a Thread Lift?

A MINT™ PDO thread lift requires no downtime. The threads are placed by injection just under the skin, so you should experience little to no discomfort or swelling. Avoid rubbing the area of your face where the threads have been placed and follow any other instructions.

What Results Will I See From a Thread Lift?

You will see immediate results after treatment, including a firmer jawline, lifted and firmer cheeks, and improvement in drooping brows. You will also see lines and wrinkles become smoother and less visible. Your results will last for up to a year, and since the threads dissolve, you can have the procedure more than once to get your results back.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Thread Lift?

A thread lift works best for people with mild skin laxity and other signs of aging. For people with more significant signs of aging, another procedure may need to be added to help them achieve their goals better. Candidates should have reasonable expectations about how much lift a thread lift can provide.
