What are the Benefits of Tixel® Treatments?

You may have seen many lasers and other energy-based devices if you have been researching ways to rejuvenate dull, aging skin. Tixel® is the new revolutionary skin resurfacing tool that uses no lasers to achieve its results. Tixel® lets you see firm, even-toned skin that looks younger and brighter without the downtime of a CO2 laser.

What is Tixel® Skin Resurfacing?

Tixel® uses thermo-mechanical energy to create tiny areas of micro-damage in the skin. These small channels trigger the surrounding cells to initiate their repair and healing process. This energy also stimulates cells deep in the dermis, triggering them to produce more collagen. Your skin loses collagen with age, so replacing it gives your skin a rejuvenated appearance.

How Does Tixel® Work?

Using a handheld device with a medical-grade titanium tip, Tixel® uses Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA®). The tip uses tiny titanium cones heated to over 400 degrees Fahrenheit. These create small areas of thermal injury surrounded by healthy skin. This process stimulates the production of new, healthy skin cells. It also initiates collagen production in deeper layers of the skin.

What are the Benefits of Tixel® Treatments?

The use of thermo-mechanical energy gives Tixel® some advantages over energy-based treatments like lasers. Reasons to choose Tixel® for skin rejuvenation include:

Not Just for the Face

Along with the face, you can have Tixel® treatment on your chest, neck, arms, or almost any other area. While many people assume skin resurfacing is only for the face, many parts of your body can also benefit.

Little to No Downtime

Unlike ablative lasers like CO2, you will have little to no downtime and can now achieve the same results in just a few sessions. This first of its kind treatment is a breakthrough for those who wish to achieve dramatic rejuvenation, but can’t peel for a week or two.

Customizable

Your skincare expert can target the intensity of your Tixel® treatment to address your skin concerns. Hyperpigmentation and sun damage may respond to a less intensive resurfacing than lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. We can customize the number and intensity of treatments to suit your needs and lifestyle.

Collagen Production

Tixel® has the advantage of improving both the surface of the skin and the underlying structure. By boosting collagen production, Tixel® improves your skin over the following weeks and months to continue to look smoother and more even.

What Results Will I See With Tixel® Treatment?

Most people need one to three Tixel® sessions to achieve their desired results. If you choose less intensive treatments, you may need more of them but will have less downtime. Results can become apparent within a week or two. Collagen production will continue for up to a few months.

Am I a Good Candidate for Tixel® Skin Resurfacing?

Since Tixel® is not a laser, it works safely on more skin types and tones. Most people make good candidates, especially those who want to see dramatic improvements in skin texture, tone, and clarity. You may not be a good candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Is There Any Downtime With Tixel® Treatment?

After treatment, you can expect sunburn-like warmth and redness lasting a few hours. You may continue to notice some redness for several days, but you can wear makeup the next day. You might see micro scabs that flake off within a few days. Skin usually looks wholly recovered in a week or less, but can be easily covered with makeup during the healing process.
