The AdvaTx™ laser is the world’s most advanced solid-state yellow vascular laser (589nm) and also the first hybrid to incorporate rejuvenation (1319nm) to address a wide range of conditions.
Those who are serious about treating acne with lasers have long known that a combination of light therapies yields the best results. AdvaTx™ is the only laser in the world to combine 1319nm, widely accepted as the gold standard in addressing overactive sebaceous glands with 589nm, the wavelength of choice when targeting acne bacteria and the underlying vascular structure which supports cystic nodes. Further, the 589nm wavelength helps remove the redness in both active acne and acne scars, leading to the visible, long term results that people are seeking.
For treating scars we rely on the proven 589nm wavelength to remove redness while 1319nm helps rebuild collagen in the area. Wrinkle reduction, along with skin rejuvenation benefits such as improved texture, tone, and pore size occurs by utilizing 1319nm to cause protein denaturation, stimulating collagen regenesis, once again exemplifying the versatility of the AdvaTx™ laser.
One of the advantages of the AdvaTx™ technology is that it can target so many skin challenges in a session, more than most lasers on the market. In addition, there is little to no downtime, pain, or swelling of other lasers. This gentle laser is safely performed on people of all ages and most skin tones, however darker skin tones may require treatment with lightening creams prior to treatment.
Our Skin Management Experts™ will determine during your Skin Checkup™ whether to exclusively use the vascular or rejuvenation handpiece or to combine both helping more advanced skin conditions. The 589 nm laser which is used for redness, rosacea, broken capillaries, cherry angiomas, and active acne and the 1319 wavelength is utilized for acne scars, fine wrinkles, tone, texture, and pore size.
The AdvaTx™ laser session usually takes less than 30 minutes. If you are combining with other treatments, your session would be longer.

For vascular and rejuvenation protocols, it is recommended to go through a series of 4-6 sessions, spaced about 2-4 weeks apart, even though you will see benefits after your first session. It can vary depending on the initial baseline of the skin, a person’s age and goals, among other factors. Your Skin Management Expert™ will go over this at your Skin Checkup™ to address your individual needs.
One of the unique attributes of the AdvaTx™ laser is that it is not painful where topical numbing is necessary. It is a great advantage for those who are concerned about too invasive treatments.
Your skin will be visibly pink or red immediately post-treatment. However, that generally fades quickly. You will be able to return to most normal daily activities, except for any immediate sun exposure for the first 24 hours. Special post-care instructions for topical use of products will be clarified at your visit.
The AdvaTx™ is the first to use a combination of a solid-state yellow vascular laser with a skin rejuvenation laser all in one treatment. The Cutera Excel V+ is the most complete vascular laser in the world but causes swelling so it is not optimal for combining with fractional rejuvenation lasers the same day. The convenience of being able to treat such a wide variety of skin conditions in the same visit makes the AdvaTx™ a great choice for many people. If an individual has more advanced rosacea, and that is the only goal, our Skin Management Experts™ will recommend the Excel V+ protocol over the AdvaTx™ protocol.
